- I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be a writer. After many years, I've finally written "Bridge to Destiny." It's a young adult novel, set in the 1960s, about a boy who witnesses his family burning in an autombile crash on the Carquinez Bridge that overlooks Crockett, California. He vows to get revenge on the person who caused the accident. I won't tell you the rest of the story, but it has elements of romance and tragedy mixed together. I'm hoping everyone, adults as well as teens, will enjoy reading it. My next work is "GERTA!" It is about a boy who learns to respect and care for a repulsively fat and ugly girl. It's more of a middle grade novel and it's been fun to write.
